the prints are rolling in

I feel so bad that I haven't had a chance to update more. So far the prints have been rolling in and they are just lovely! These are some of the most recent folks to have sent prints my way. I just can't wait to photograph them all and put them up here.

I also just opened some packages from some other fine and talented folks such as

front room press

and also from printers Mire Ink and Mark Maroney.

cindy tomczyk

The first prints for the swap have started to arrive. Eventually I will take them all, sort them out and send a complete set of prints to each participant. As tempted as I am, I wont give any sneak peeks until they all arrive.
I was so excited when Cindy Tomczyk's prints showed up in my mailbox. I love her illustrations and the print for the swap is no exception. Both of the prints shown here can be purchased in her Etsy shop. She also has a separate stationery company called Paper Parasol which is also quite lovely.

Keep em coming guys.... I can't wait to see what else everyone has been up to.

bespoke press

Here is another one of our lovely swap participants. Bespoke Press belongs to the talented Alischa Herrmann who hails from Brisbane, Australia. Alischa is our most distant participant and I am so excited to see what she comes up with. Alischa also has a terrific blog with some gorgeous pictures. Right now I am jealous of her summer weather while I sit here in the Chicago snow and cold.

what a list

If you haven't had a chance yet to check out the list of participants, please do so. I am very familiar with many of these printers, but some are new to me and I must say, I am thoroughly excited to see what they come up with. For me organizing this, the best part has been connecting with some many other printers. Everyone seems super friendly and excited to participate.

I still have more participants to add so keep checking back. In the meantime I think I will start posting a few pictures from some of the participants just to get you excited......

I will go first...

This is a mixed media piece I made for the Old School Exhibition. It is collaged ephemera, letterpress, pencil, pen & white out.

Letterpress Swap

I am organizing a little letterpress swap. You can read all the details here, here, and here. The deadline for sign up has passed though if you shoot me an email in the next week or so I can add you to the list.

I set up this blog as a home for the little swap and a place I could show off the goodies once complete.
At the moment we have 43 people signed up for the swap. 43! That is more than I could have hoped for. And boy are the participants impressive. In the next week or so I plan to add a list of everyone participating so you can see why I am so giddy over the moon.

Stay tuned my little letterpress lovers.
